The Japanese architectural practice Atelier Bow Wow operates as artists as well as architects. Their gallery-oriented work often involves site specific non-functional architectural structures.

We were commissioned to produce the Life Tunnel at an early stage of the exhibit’s development. From a number of materials originally considered, steel was chosen and folded and formed to the pictured configuration. Although not steel-workers, we were retained to implement this work which included the appointment, coordination and managing of various specialist contractors.

The installation on site was programmed in great detail; to not only ensure an efficient delivery but also a safe installation of the large, heavy and irregular shaped consignments.
